Distribution Circuit from New Reservoir:-The following works were carried out under this head:-95 feet of 18" diameter steel main were laid in Waterloo Road near Nathan Road, 205 feet of 18" diameter cast iron main were laid from Yaumati Service Reservoir, 1,750 feet of 12" diameter cast iron main were laid in Chatham Road from Cooke Street to Gascoigne Road, 1,306 feet of 12" diameter cast iron main were laid in Canton Road from Haiphong Road to Salisbury Road, 1,197 feet of 12" diameter cast iron main were laid in Salisbury Road from Canton Road eastwards, 115 feet of 6" diameter cast iron main were laid in Salisbury Road, 1,580 feet of 8" diameter cast iron main were removed from Chatham Road between Cooke Street and Gascoigne Road, 2,815 feet of 7" diameter cast iron main were removed in Canton Road, between Austin Road and Salisbury Road, 977 feet of 6" diameter cast iron main were removed in Salisbury Road and 820 feet of 4" diameter cast iron main were removed in Canton Road between Austin Road and Jordan Road.

Compensation and Resumptions:-Resumptions carried out under this head are referred to in Table XVI. principal item was the resumption, in connection with Town Planning Development, of the Victoria Home and Orphanage on K.I.L. 1116 for which the sum of $50,000 was paid in compensation. This was dealt with by a separate vote.

BUILDINGS.
169. Typhoon Signal Station between Kowloon Tong and Kowloon City:-This work included site formation, the erection of a mast and the construction of quarters enclosed in a small compound for the attendants together with all necessary typhoon day and night signals, light and hoisting gear. The work was carried out by Mr. Man Gang and completed before the end of June, 1934.
