Director of Criminal Investigation and the Senior Superintendent, Anti- Corruption Branch. In addition to these senior police officers, the Colonial Secretariat is represented by the Establishment Officer. This Committee decides investigation priorities and other matters which determine the manner in which the resources of the Branch are deployed. It met on 37 occasions.
Corruption involving Police
128. 180 reports or allegations of corruption involving police officers were received. After consideration by the 'Target' Committee, 104 cases were referred to the Anti-Corruption Branch for investigation. Of these, 12 allegations were substantiated, 41 not substantiated and 51 are still under investigation. The remaining 76 cases were referred to other police formations for inquiry. A summary of action taken against police officers involved in corruption cases which have been heard in court or dealt with departmentally is as follows:

Corruption involving Government Departments
129. 155 reports involving officers in Government Departments were received. 90 were referred to the Anti-Corruption Branch and, after investigation, 21 were substantiated and 21 not substantiated. 48 are still under investigation. The remaining 65 reports were dealt with by the appropriate departments. A summary of action taken against Govern- ment servants involved in corruption cases which have been heard in court or dealt with departmentally is as follows:
