Although the Bemaritan Fund is administered by the Medical and Health Department, it depends entirely on Yoluntary donations for financial support. The main purpose of this fund ja to provide stort-term relief for needy patients and their families wien easiatance cannot be readily after thorough investigations by our Medical Social Workers, financiel assistance is given to suitable patients/ obtained from other BOUNCEL. familias who are facing difficulties because of illness, injuy, childbirth, death and/or other medical, social situations,

Donations received during the financial year amount to a total of 488,137,36, due to the generosity of the Hong Kong Jockey cl‹b (Qarition) Ltd., tha Li Fa Chun Charitable Trust Fund and the Sir Robert Ho Tung Charitable Fund.
