In the light of these and competing claims on scarce resources including qualified staff, finance and land, Government is studying public reactions and opinion before final conclusions are to be incorporated into a policy white paper for the further development and expansion of medical and health services for the 1973-1982 decade.

COMPLETED PROJECTS
Five projects were completed during the year. They are the Health Office and Staff Quarters, Cheung Sha, Wu York Yu Clinic at Tsz Wan Shan, and the new Sha Tau Kok Clinic, and two government-assisted projects, the United Christian Hospital at Ivun Tong, and Yan Chai Hospital at Tsuen Wan.

PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Major projects under construction included the general wing of the Princess Margaret Hospital, the combined staff quarters for the general and psychiatric wings of the same hospital, Stage I of the Kowloon East Polyclinic, the major alterations and the new out-patient department at St. John Hospital, Cheung Chau. The only government-assisted project under construction was the Centenary Block of the Tung Wah Hospital.
