194. The year under review has been a satisfactory one in that no major outbreaks of infectious diseases occurred. The vital statistical figures which are normal pointers to the health and environmental conditions have been satisfactory. All these indicate a most happy state of affairs undertaken by a harmonious team consisting of officials and voluntary workers aiming at a common objective-i.. to provide an adequate medical service for all sections of the community and to emphasize the principle that every individual in the community should be able to enjoy the highest attainable standard of health regardless of his social status.
