A meeting of the Finance Committee was held in the Council Chamber, the Colonial Secretary (Sir Thomas Southorn, K.B.E., C.M.G.) presiding.

Hon. Mr. S. W. TS'O.―I would like to ask whether there is any special arrangement between the Government and the Telegraph Company with regard to charges?

THE CHAIRMAN.―Yes, but I cannot, without reference, say exactly what it is. All the votes were approved.
