The Council met today by Special Summons.
The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
Read a second time and passed, with certain verbal amendments, the Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance for the amendment of the Civil Administration of Justice," being No. 6 of 1855, which was ordered to be published in the Government Gazette.
The Governor laid on the Table Printed Estimates of the Revenue and Expenditure of Hongkong for the Year 1856, and desired a copy of the same to be sent to each Member of the Legislative Council for his own private use.
His Excellency also laid on the Table the Blue Book of the Colony for the Year 1854, and ordered it to be open to the inspection of the Honorable Members upon application to the Clerk of Councils.
The Council then adjourned sine die.
