The Council met today by Special Summons.
The Honorable the Attorney General was present as Legal Adviser to the Government.
The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
Read the first time, Draft of a proposed Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to extend the duties of Chinese Tepos appointed under Ordinance No. 13 of 1844; to determine their Emoluments, and to provide for the amicable settlement of Civil Suits among the Chinese Population of Hongkong." Resolved that the Draft Ordinance be printed and published in the Government Gazette for general information.
