The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
Read a second time and passed, the ordinance entitled "An ordinance to provide for the "issue of the Writ of Capias ad Respondendum during the illness or temporary absence "of the Chief Justice or Acting Chief Justice of the said Colony," being No. 5 of 1852, which was ordered to be printed and published in the Government Gazette.
The Draft ordinance "for the prevention of Desertion and better Regulation of Merchant "Seamen in this Colony" was read a first time and ordered to be published in the Government Gazette for general information.
