The Minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
His Excellency The Governor laid before the Council Earl Greg's Despatches No. 3 & 4 of 19th January last, on the subject of revising some of the Sections of Ordinance No. 6 of 1847, "for extending the summary jurisdiction of Police Magistrates and Justices of the "Peace", and reconsidering clauses 4 and 5 of the Rules of Court of 11th March 1847. It was resolved that these points should be brought before the Council for discussion at a meeting to be held a fortnight hence.
