The minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
With reference to Minutes of Council of 23d July 1846, it was ordered that Ordinance No. 5 of 1846 entitled "An Ordinance for the substitution of Notices and advertisements, under the Ordinance No. 3 of 1846, entitled 'An ordinance for the relief of Insolvent Debtors within the Colony of Hongkong,'" should be printed and published.
Read a second time and passed Ordinance No. 6 of 1846 entitled "An Ordinance for the regulation of criminal proceedings in the Supreme Court of Hongkong during the absence of Her Majesty's Attorney General," which was ordered to be printed.
