The Hon: The Attorney General having been summoned was present accordingly.
The minutes of the last Council were read and approved.
Consideration was given to the Police Assessment Act, and It was Resolved with a view of ascertaining what amount of Revenue might be raised by the proposed measure, and what the maximum rate of percentage should be, that Messieurs Gutzlaff, Fearon, Cleverly and Tarrant be directed to form themselves into a Committee, and consider and report by the end of the present month, upon the value of the House Property and Land upon which the assessment would have to be raised. Any two Members to form a quorum in Committee.
