The proposed Ordinance for the naturalization of Aliens within the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies having been sent round to Members was brought under discussion and It was Resolved that it be proposed sine die.
The Governor informed the Council that H. M.y had been pleased to confirm Ordinance No. 11 of 1844, entitled "An Ordinance for licensing Public houses and for regulating the retail of fermented and spirituous liquors."
That Her Majesty had also been pleased to confirm Ordinance No. 12 of 1844 entitled "An Ordinance for the Establishment and Regulation of a Police Force in the Colony of Hongkong."
That Her Majesty had also been pleased to confirm Ordinance No. [14] of 1844, entitled "An Ordinance for the suppression of Public Gaming in the Colony of Hongkong."
