(ii) 安全駕駛獎

Safety and quality service are two aspects

which go hand in hand and, in

appreciation of this, a Safe-Driving

Award was also carried out this year. The

winner of the Award was Mr. Wong

Chiu Wa who has not had a single traffic

accident in 24 years of driving. In

addition, 12 bus captains achieved the

Company's accident free 10 year-award

and 124 bus captains achieved the

accident free 5 year-award.

安全與服務質素皆同樣重要,為對此點

表示重視,本年度之「九巴傑出車長」

選舉亦加插了一項安全駕駛獎。是項獎

項得獎者為黃趙華先生,他於二十四年

之駕駛中,從未發生過一次交通意外。

此外,還有十二位及一百二十四位車長

分別獲獎勵以表揚他們於十年及五年內

之駕駛生涯中未發生過交通意外。

Introducing the Contactless Smart Cards

The Company, together with the other

major public transport operators in Hong

Kong, has agreed to introduce an

integrated common "Smart Card" fare

ticket which can be used on buses, the

MTR, the KCR and the ferry services.

The Smart Card incorporates the latest

micro-electronic advances and is far

more sophisticated than the magnetic

common stored value ticket currently in

use. The card will resemble a standard

credit card in shape and in size.
