Passenger Relations

As part of the 60th anniversary celebrations, the Company joined with Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Ltd to launch the first mobile studio bus in Hong Kong. The KMB Studio Bus is an air- conditioned double-decker, with a studio and a well- furnished sitting room constructed on the upper deck. The bus travelled on different routes and broadcast traffic news reports through Commercial Radio- Channels 1 and 2. The bus was manned by a Commercial Radio disc jockey and a KMB representative who interviewed passengers about KMB's bus services. The Studio Bus is provided as a new service to the people of Hong Kong and as another additional channel of communication with

passengers.

The Company's first two Services Centres for passengers were opened at the Sha Tin New Town Plaza and at the Lam Tin MTR station during the year. The purpose of these centres is to further improve communication with the public. Visitors can use a computer to enquire about routes and services, make suggestions or complaints about bus service quality and also to purchase KMB souvenirs. We are planning to introduce more Services Centres in densely populated areas.

In order to better understand the needs of our customers, our operation staff attended meetings of the Traffic and Transport Committees of District Boards and listened to their suggestions on ways to improve services.

與乘客之關係

作為六十週年誌慶活動之一環,本公司與香港 商業廣播有限公司攜手合作,推出全港首部流 動廣播巴士。九巴直播室乃一部冷氣雙層巴 士,上層設有播音室及設備齊全之休息室。該 部巴士行駛不同路線並透過商業一台及商業二 台播出交通消息。除有一名商台播音員外,巴 士上亦駐有一名九巴代表,訪問乘客對九巴服 務之意見。此舉既能為香港市民服務,又可增 闢新的途徑與乘客溝通。

年內本公司在沙田新城市廣場及藍田地鐵站之 乘客諮詢中心均已投入服務,旨在增進公司與 市民之間的溝通。市民可利用中心內之電腦查 詢有關巴士路線及其他服務的資料,提出有關 巴士服務質素之建議或投訴,亦可在中心內購 買九巴之紀念品。本公司現正計劃在其他人口 稠密地區設立更多此類乘客諮詢中心。

為能更深入了解乘客之需要,本公司派出代表 出席各區議會之交通及運輸委員會會議,聽取 各方面人士就如何改善服務所提出之意見。
