Air-conditioned buses enable passengers to enjoy

comfortable and cooler bus rides on hot summer days.

冷氣巴士令乘客在炎熱的夏天享受舒適涼快的巴士服 務。

To relieve passengers from the crowded MTR compartments in the morning, KMB has introduced the 300 series of cross-harbour air-conditioned buses.

為免除乘客早上受地鐵擠迫之苦,九巴開辦300系列過 海隧道冷氣巴士。

Air-conditioned buses were designed not only to provide a cooler environment during the summer months, but also to provide a quiet and comfortable bus ride throughout the year. The cost of carrying a passenger on air-conditioned double-deck buses is over 60% more than that of normal double-deck

buses.

The Company policy is to introduce air-conditioned buses gradually, in response to customer demand. In order to implement this policy, we have introduced a "mixed" operation, in which both air-conditioned buses and normal buses are operated on the same route. The proportion of air-conditioned buses and normal buses will be adjusted from time to time, in response to demand. On these mixed routes, buses are scheduled in such a way that air-conditioned buses and normal buses are sent out alternatively in order to offer bus passengers a choice of the service they wish to use.

冷氣巴士這個設計意念,既可於炎夏提供一個較涼 快空間,亦可令乘客全年能夠安靜舒適地享用巴士 服務。每輛冷氣雙層巴士運載一名乘客所需成本比 普通雙層巴士高出百分之六十以上。

本公司之政策是因應乘客之需求而逐步採用冷氣巴 士。為推行此項政策,本公司採用了「混合」之運 作模式,實行同一路線上冷氣巴士與普通巴士兩者 兼行。至於兩者之比例,則會因應乘客需求而不時 加以調整。在此等混合巴士路線上,兩類型巴士將 盡量編成冷氣巴士與普通巴士相間開出,讓乘客可 以自行選擇。
