metres. Foundation work was

completed in February, 1988, and the construction of the superstructure is

expected to be finished by mid 1989.

The 21,070 square metre site at

Shatin is being developed into a

permanent 3-storey bus depot and a

6-storey office building. The construction

of the superstructure is divided into

two phases and is proceeding smoothly.

The first phase is expected to be

completed in July of this year, and the

second phase is scheduled to be completed by October.

The site of 21,470 square metres at the Kowloon Bay Reclamation Area will be developed into a 3-storey bus depot

with ancilliary office and workshop.

Foundation work was started at the

end of July in 1987 and was finished in

March, 1988.The completion date for this depot is scheduled to be mid 1990. KMB also leases sites as temporary depots and two became operational during the past year.

The Tuen Mun Temporary Depot Area 16, a site of 9,300 square metres,

was leased from the Government and

has been developed for bus parking. It

became operational on 26th January, 1987, and can hold 115 buses.

Temporary Depot was surrendered

back to the Government on 1st

September, 1987. As a replacement, a

site of 10,940 square metres at

Kowloon Bay was leased from the

Government. The Kowloon Bay Temporary Depot became operational in September, 1987,and provides daily bus service facilities, i.e. coin box collection, refuelling and bus washing for

一幅位於沙田面積二萬一千零七十 平方米之土地現正發展作為一座永久性 三層樓的巴士車廠及一幢六層樓的

寫字樓,上層建築工程分為兩期並正順利 進行。首期工程預計將於本年七月完成, 而第二期預期十月完成。

一幅位於九龍灣填海區面積

二萬一千四百七十平方米之土地將發展為 一座附設有寫字樓及工場之三層高

巴士車廠。地基工程於一九八七年七月 開始,並於一九八八年三月完成。此車廠 之完工日期預計為一九九零年年中。

本公司亦有租賃臨時車廠,並有兩間 車廠於去年啟用。

在屯門第十六區向政府租賃佔地 九千三百平方米之屯門臨時車廠, 已發展作停泊巴士之用,此車廠於 一九八七年一月二十六日啟用,可容納 一百一十五輛巴士。

茶果嶺臨時車廠之部分土地於

一九八七年九月一日交回政府。為替代 該部分土地,本公司因此向政府租賃一幅 位於九龍灣面積一萬零九百四十平方米 之土地。九龍灣臨時車廠於一九八七年 九月啟用,並提供每日巴士維修設施, 亦即為四百七十輛巴士收集錢箱、 補-

燃料及清洗巴士。該車廠將使用至 九龍灣永久性車廠啟用為止。
