ACCOUNTS

27. The Gross Operating Profit for the year was $4,301,942 represent- ing an increase of 31.28% as compared with the figure of $3,276,996 in the previous year. This was due to an increase in Gross Operating Receipts-Passenger Traffic Receipts increasing by 11.5%, i.e., from $5,683,371 in 1962-63 to $6,334,610 in 1963-64 and Goods Traffic Receipts increasing by 10.6%, i.e., from $3,998,091 in 1962-63 to $4,421,003 in 1963-64. The Nett Profit transferred to the Appropriation
