or the extent to which the Authority will be liable for the cost of main drainage, water services, etc., although some allowance has been made for these expenses.

152. An examination of the subsoil conditions on the site, carried out by The Paul Lee Engineering Co., indicated that piling would be necessary, although it was not anticipated this would present any difficulty, as there are no indications of encumbrance of the ground with large boulders. Piling tenders have been invited, and as there are no clearance problems it is hoped that this part of the work can start in July 1960.

153. A target programme for development has been drawn up, which aims at having the buildings occupied between February and May 1962. The name of the estate will be Ma Tau Wai Estate (INT).

154. In March 1960, the Governor's approval in principle was sought to proceed with the scheme, under the provisions of the Housing Ordinance.
