Gift Parcels : Customs duty is raised on most articles sent as gifts to private persons, but not on medicaments and orthopaedic aids for which a medical certificate is held by the addressee.

Compensation is not payable for damage to parcels containing liquids, fragile articles or perishable goods if the damage occurs in the Italian service.
