Restrictions: The importation from any source of: (a) bona fide trade samples of any goods if the samples have no saleable value; (b) bona fide unsolicited gifts by post not exceeding 100 dollars in value ($HK186) addressed to individuals; and (c) goods the value of which does not exceed 50 dollars ($HK93) imported by post is permitted without an import licence.

The importation of goods originating or manufactured wholly or partly in the Scheduled Territories is permitted without an import licence except for: diamonds, rough or uncut, cut or polished and any gold in whatever state or form including articles of jewellery or ornament; plants of all species, seeds, the importation of which, unless qualifying under (a) (b) or (c), is not permitted except under licence from the Controller of Imports and Exports, Sarawak. In the case of arms and ammunition from all sources the recipient must be in possession of an import licence granted under the Arms and Explosives Ordinance before delivery will be given.
