Prohibitions: Advertisements, circulars and so on relating to lotteries; con- traceptives and literature relating thereto; games of chance; intoxicants of any kind; pipes and parts thereof for smoking opium; propaganda of a seditious

nature.

Restrictions: Under Philippine regulations, no parcels other than those for the personal use of the addressee may be sent. Parcels other than gift parcels may not exceed 10,000 pesos in value. An Import licence is necessary for every parcel except gift parcels not exceeding 100 pesos in value. If two or more parcels are posted by the same sender to the same addressee they are considered as a single despatch. Restrictions also apply to the importation of silkworms and their eggs; plants and seeds; firearms and parts thereof.

Gift parcels: Gift parcels may not exceed 500 pesos in value for each addressee. Gifts sent by Filipino residents abroad must not be sent more frequently than once a month and when sent by other nationals must not be sent oftener than once in six months.

Packing: Parcels containing liquids should be marked "Fragile". See also page 43.

Compensation is not payable.

Address: Parcels should not be addressed to United States Military Post Offices in the Philippines.
