Invoice: A copy of the relative invoice should be attached to the despatch note and customs declaration of every commercial parcel. If more than one ordinary parcel from the same sender for the same addressee is posted at the same time, only one invoice is required in respect of each batch. In the case of parcels addressed c/o a bank, the actual consignee is regarded as the addressee. Customs declarations which accompany a batch of parcels must show, in addition to the usual particulars, the total number of parcels, the serial numbers and the total value of the contents.

Compensation is not payable for damage to parcels containing liquids or semi-liquids.

Restrictions apply to the importation of packets of postage stamps for philatelic purposes; in any case they must be registered and bear a green label.

Customs declarations and certificates of origin: Two non-adhesive forms and despatch note; one despatch note and one set of customs declaration forms may be used for two or three (not more) ordinary parcels within the same step of the weight scale, sent from the same sender to the same addressee. In addition, a certificate of origin with a copy of the invoice dated and signed by the sender should be attached to the despatch note and customs declaration for each com- mercial parcel or consignment of parcels posted at the same time to the same addressee. These documents should be firmly fastened together, preferably stapled, with the despatch note on top. They should not be enclosed in an envelope and the customs declaration should, where appropriate, be noted Certificate of origin attached. Where one certificate of origin only is used for a consignment of parcels at the same step of weight scale posted at the same time by the sender for the same addressee, the despatch notes of those parcels which are not accompanied by the certificate should be noted "for the certificate of origin see parcel No. Prohibitions: Letters; charged butane gas lighters and refills; meat, poultry and game over 11 lb. in weight; playing cards addressed to San Marino; potatoes; radio-active matter; saccharin and its products, unless addressed to authorized chemists.
