Prohibitions: Letters, except one for the addressec; arms; articles of a charlatanic nature; beads composed of inflammable celluloid or similar substances; cotton seed; cocoa beans, maize and other grains; currency notes, except from a bank and addressed to a bank in Lagos; living creatures; penicillin, streptomycin and similar substances except under licence; spirits; wines.

Restrictions : apply to the importation of: Medecines, including proprietary preparations; uniforms. Import licences are required for a few classes of goods, but not for items enclosed in bona fide gift parcels.

Invoice: An invoice showing details of the cost of the goods, including insurance and so

on and indicating their country of origin, should be attached to com- mercial parcels.

Packing should be waterproof.

Compensation is not payable to parcels containing fragile articles or for damage by water to a parcel transported by carrier, runner or canoe.

Delivery: Addresses are notified of arrival of parcels and are required to arrange for their collection.
