Prohibitions: Blank invoice forms; tobacco, cigars, cigarettes and snuff, except genuine samples or for the private use of the addressee; unobliterated postage stamps exceeding 5s. in value, except in registered letters; weapons and cartridges of all kinds; wedding cake by surface mail not securely packed in tin boxes; wines, spirits, liqeurs, or other alcoholic beverages, unless they are bona fide samples, each of which does not exceed 6 oz. in weight, and the approval of the Collector of Customs to importation has been obtained.

Restrictions apply to the importation of: Bees; plants and parts of plants, including fruit.

Import licences: A licence, to be obtained by the addressees in advance, is required for importation into Australia of all goods except those of no commercial value, household articles, gifts not exceeding A£20 in value, bona fide samples, trade catalogues and so on.

Prohibitions : Letters, blank invoice forms; confectionery containing spirits; wines, spirits, liqueurs, or other alcoholic beverages, unless they are bona fide samples, each of which does not exceed 6 oz. in weight, and the approval of the Collector of Customs to importation has been obtained; tobacco, cigars, cigarettes and snuff, except genuine samples or for the private use of the addressee. Weapons and cartridges of all kinds. Edible birds' nests; all forms of meat from animals, birds, (including poultry), and their related products; noodles; biscuits containing meat. This prohibition extends to tinned foodstuffs containing meat products unless these are certified by the manufacturer bave been processed in accordance with certain stringent conditions and are also certified by a Govern- ment veterinary authority as deriving from disease free carcases.
