SCOPE OF SERVICE

Reply coupons are exchangeable at post offices abroad for postage stamps, and thus enable the sender of a letter to a place abroad to prepay a reply.

They are sold at all post offices in the Colony; and coupons received from other countries may be exchanged for postage stamps at any post office.

A stamped aerogram form may be obtained instead of postage stamps in whole or part exchange when sufficient coupons are presented.

COMMONWEALTH REPLY COUPONS

These coupons are valid only within the British Commonwealth and in the Irish Republic and may be purchased at any post office in the Colony at a price of 35 cents. They are exchangeable in any country of the British Commonwealth and in the Irish Republic for a stamp or stamps representing the minimum postage payable on a letter sent from that country to this Colony. Exceptionally, the exchange value in India is 25 naye paise and in Pakistan is 24 annas. A Commonwealth reply coupon received in this Colony is exchangeable for stamps to the value of 20 cents.

INTERNATIONAL REPLY COUPONS

These coupons may be purchased at any post office in the Colony at a price of 75 cents, and are exchangeable in any foreign country of the Universal Postal Union for a stamp or stamps representing the minimum postage payable on a letter sent from that country to this country.

An International reply coupon received in this Colony is exchangeable for stamps to the value of 40c. irrespective of the first surface letter postage rate from this Colony to the country of origin of the coupon.
