Customs declaration: One adhesive form.

Prohibitions: Letters; arms and fire-arms and parts thereof; butane gas lighters and refills; coin and bullion exceeding M$50 in value; bank or currency notes, securities of any kind payable to bearer; literature relating to, and tickets for, lotteries and sweepstakes; advertisements for charms, amulets and talismans. Restrictions: The importation of certain plants and seeds is permitted, by surface parcel post only if prior authorization is obtained from the Agricultural Officer, Singapore.

Compensation: No compensation is payable for the loss of an insured parcel containing jewellery exceeding $850 in value which is not enclosed in a strong box measuring at least 3 feet 6 inches in length and girth combined.

Licences: In addition to the prohibitions or restrictions detailed under LETTER POST and PARCEL POST, the entry of a wide range of goods is either entirely prohibited or permitted only under a special licence. Exporters are therefore recommended not to forward any goods before ascertaining whether the importers possess the necessary licence or whether a licence is necessary.

Packing and marking: Parcels containing non-inflammable films must bear a white label clearly marked in block with the words Films-non inflammable.
