Restrictions: Butane gas lighters and refills are admitted provided that the flint is removed from the lighter and sent separately. The importation of goods other than those covered by open General Licence, bona fide gifts, samples and articles of no commercial value is allowed only under licence issued by the Department of Trade and Industry, Malta. Goods which require a licence should not be sent unless it is known that the addressee is in possession of the relative import licence.

Insurance: Any insured parcels which cannot be delivered to the addressees in Malta will be returned as ordinary uninsured parcels. In the event of loss or damage on the return journey compensation within the normal limits for uninsured parcels only will be payable.

Batches of parcels: If more than one parcel is sent at one time to one addressce, the sender should number the parcels consecutively, and should indicate on cach parcel the number of parcels forming the consignment. For instance, if the con- signment consists of three parcels, the parcels should be numbered 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 respectively.

Preferential Tariffs apply under certain conditions to British goods. Enquiries should be addressed to Commerce and Industry Department.
