Prohibitions: Absinthe and similar liqueurs; feeding bottles with tubes; Indian hemp and derivatives; opium and other narcotics; products similar to saccharine (saccharine, skimmed milk or half skimmed milk may be imported by Chemists with the authorization of the Inspection Service of Chemists); munitions of war; arms; ammunition; detonators; fuses; currency which is not legal tender in Laos.

The importation of gold is permitted only through the Bureau of Customs, Vientiane.
