Customs duty: Articles for the personal use of the addressee, are admitted free of duty when the amount of the duty would not exceed H.K.$6. More than one parcel for the same addressee may be treated as a single parcel and assessed for duty accordingly.

Gift parcels: Customs and other charges are payable on most gift parcels; but gifts of worn clothing, used bed linen and used table linen are admitted free of duty if sent in such small quantities as to preclude their use for commercial purposes. Gift parcels containing foodstuffs, tobacco, soap, razor blades and other articles of small value are admitted free of duty if the total weight and value of such parcels received by the addressee in one month do not exceed 22 lb. and 5,000 Finnish marks respectively.

If an addressee receives more than 2 lb. cocoa, 2 lb. chocolate or sweets, 8 oz. tea and 31 oz, tobacco in one month, duty is payable.
