Prohibitions: Letters; arms, except under permit; butane gas lighters and refills. Sealing: Parcels should be sealed with a distinctive device.

Invoice: An invoice certified by a Portuguese consular representative is required in respect of each consignment of goods over 550 escudos in value. These invoices should not accompany the parcels but should be sent direct to the addressee.

Address: The words Cape Verde Islands should appear in full in the address of parcels for the islands.

Delivery: Addressees are notified of arrival of parcels and are required to arrange for their collection. Charges are collected.
