PARCEL POST

Customs declaration: Four non-adhesive forms and despatch note. The customs declaration forms should show the weight of the parcels in grammes.

Prohibitions: Letters; cigarette lighters; cigarette papers; coin of nickel or silver; flower and vegetable seeds; jewels and precious objects; worn clothing unless accompanied by a certificate of disinfection from a competent authority and authenticated by a Bolivian consular officer.

Restrictions apply to the importation of: Arms; spirits. Import permits are required for some classes of goods.

Invoice: A consular invoice, signed by a Bolivian consul, is required for each parcel or consignment of parcels valued at more than 100 bolivianos. It may be sent separately or enclosed in a parcel. If enclosed in a parcel, the customs declara- tion should be noted Consular Invoice Enclosed. If the consignment consists of several parcels, they should be numbered by the sender 1, 2, 3 and so on, and the invoice enclosed in parcel No. 1, the customs declaration relating to that parcel being noted accordingly, and those relating to the other parcels, Consular Invoice In Parcel No. 1.
