General Information

British Postal Orders of the following values are sold and encashed. 6d, 1/-, 1/6, 2/-, 2/6, 3/-, 4/-, 5/-, 10/-, 15/-, 20/-, 21/-, £2, £3, £4, and £5, a small poundage charge is made in respect of each order sold.

Money Orders for local payment are issued up to a valuc of $400. Commission charged is 1 cent for each dollar or part of a dollar, (Minimum charge 5c.).

The maximum amount for an order payable abroad varies in different countries and the relative section of this guide should be consulted. Commission charged on such an order is at the rate of 14 cents for each dollar or part of a dollar, (Minimum charge 10c.).

This service is available only to Great Britain and the Irish Republic. Maximum $640 (£40). The sender is required to pay telegraph charges in addition to money order com- mission.

A C.O.D. service is available to Great Britain and Malaya (including Singapore). Maximum $640 (£40).

Fees 20c., plus 10c., for every $10.00, or fraction of $10.00, in addition to postage.

$10 per annum.

$20 per annum.

A separate licence at $20 is required for

a car, yacht or launch radio.

$24 per annum.

$24 and $36 per annum acccording to size of box.

No additional charge, the amount to be prepaid must not be less than $10.00.

A licence must be obtained although no fee is payable.
