Correspondence is delivered as follows:- There is normally no delivery on Sundays or Holidays.

HONG KONG

General deliveries from the General Post Office are made at 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. daily.

ABERDEEN and STANLEY VILLAGES

Daily at 10.00 a.m.

SHEK O

Daily at 10.00 a.m.

CHEUNG CHAU ISLAND

Daily at 3.00 p.m.

MUI WO (Silvermine Bay) and PING CHAU

Daily at noon.

KOWLOON

General deliveries from the Kowloon Central Post Office, covering the districts of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon City, Yaumati, Mongkok and Hung Hom are made at 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. daily.

SHAMSHUIPO

Daily from Un Chau Street, at 9.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.

NEW TERRITORIES

are made from the

Daily deliveries commencing at approximately 10.30 a.m. offices at Shatin, Taipo, Tsuen Wan, and Yuen Long. A restricted delivery is made at Shataukok.

ISLANDS

Correspondence for the inhabited islands of Hong Kong is forwarded daily by motor launch for distribution through authorized persons.

Owing to various difficulties some delay is unavoidable.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY FOR THE RECEPTION OF CORRESPONDENCE

Such certificates are issued to enable any person to have his correspondence delivered to his accredited representative.

The fee for each certificate is $2.00 for a year or part of a year. The certificate lapses on 31st December of the year of issue unless renewed.

On production of a certificate at the General Post Office, Hong Kong or at the Kowloon Post Office, all mail matter covered thereby will be handed over, providing the signature and chop on the delivery receipt is a facsimile of those appearing on the certificate.

IMPORT LICENCES

Certain goods require the production of an import licence before delivery can be effected, all enquires in this matter should be directed to the Import Licensing Officer, Department of Commerce and Industry.

DANGEROUS DRUGS will not be delivered until such a time as the addressee produces a form "C" (Import Authorization) issued by the Medical Department.
