Matches of all kinds are prohibited.

Restrictions apply to the importation of: Patent medicines; plants and parts of plants, tins of condensed milk; worn clothing.

Customs declaration and language: Three non-adhesive forms and despatch note. French or Greek as well as English.

Prohibitions: Letters; arms (except sporting guns under permit); charged butane gas lighters and refills if sent via France (uncharged lighters are admitted and should be declared as such on the customs declaration forms); playing cards; printed matter (periodicals, books etc.) prohibited from circulation in Greece in the interests of public order: saccharin: salt.

Restrictions apply to the importation of: Cigarette papers; patent medicines; plants, and parts of plants; tins of condensed milk; tobacco in any form; worn clothing and footwear, and used bed linen.

Customs duty: All goods, including items sent in gift parcels, are subject to payment in Greece of customs duty at current rates.

Commercial parcels are, in general, subject to import restrictions and senders are advised to ascertain from the addressees, before despatching such parcels, whether an import licence, if required, has been obtained. A copy of the relative invoice should be enclosed in each parcel.
