Packing: Parcels must be very strongly packed in wooden boxes (which must be of stout material, well screwed or nailed to- gether), tin boxes, of covers of canvas, linen or similar material, which must be sewn up at the flaps and folds and secured with string sealed at the knots and ends. Under present conditions the strict enforcement of these regulations is relaxed on the understanding that senders accept the risk of any damage which may result from the method of packing adopted.

The outer covering of a parcel containing a firearm or bolt action or trigger action of a firearm sent separately must bear a notification that a firearm, bolt action or trigger action of a firearm is enclosed.

Compensation is not payable for damage to parcels containing liquids, liquefiable substances, or glass or other brittle articles.
