Restrictions: Import licences are required for a few classes of goods, but not for items enclosed in bona-fide gift parcels.

Invoice: A certified invoice or statement, giving a full descrip- tion of the contents and value, and indicating the country of origin, must accompany goods of all kinds sent by parcel post.

Packing: Waterproof covers should be used for parcels for places beyond the services of the Nigerian Railway.

Compensation is not payable for damage of parcels containing fragile articles or for damage by water of parcels transported by carrier, runner or canoe.
