Customs duty: Samples of the articles mentioned below are admitted by sample post when addressed to agents or repre- sentatives of firms recognised by the Revenue Commissioners, Dublin, as wholesale dealers in such articles:-
(a) tobacco, unmanufactured, not exceeding 6 oz, in gross weight,
is admitted on payment of 7s. 3d.
(b) spirits, not perfumed, not exceeding 12 oz. in gross weight,
are admitted on payment of 4s. 6d.
(c) wines, not exceeding 12 oz. gross weight, are admitted free. (d) tea, not exceeding 8 oz. and coffee not exceeding 4 oz. gross
weight, are admitted free.
(e) dried fruits (currants, figs, prunes and raisins) not exceeding
8 oz. gross weight, are admitted free.
Each such sample should bear the exact description of the contents, for example, Unmanufactured tobacco, Spirits-not perfumed, and so on.
