Non-Delivery.
When for any reason a radiotelegram to a ship at sea cannot be delivered, the sender is advised of non-delivery.
When a ship does not communicate with the coast station and it has not been possible to dispose of a radiotelegram by the morning cf the fourth day follow- ing the day of handing in, the sender is advised that the message has not been transmitted; but the radiotelegram is retained at the coast station until the end of the seventh day in case the ship communicates. If it is learned that the ship has docked or has definitely passed out of wireless range, and there is no prospect of transmitting the radiotelegram, the sender is advised at once.
