Limitations of service and special conditions

PROHIBITIONS: letters; arms (except sporting guns admitted under permit);

candles; playing cards; saccharine; tobacco essence.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of cut flowers; eggs of game birds during close season; fish and game; fresh fruit; fresh vegetables and potatoes, including seed potatoes; gramophone records; liqueurs and spirits, except gin and whisky of British origin; preserved fish, plums and vegetables; living plants, roots and bulbs; shrubs.

The importation of certain other goods is subject to the production of an import licence, and such goods should not be despatched until the necessary licence has been obtained by the addressee.

SEALING: parcels should be sealed with a distinctive device.

CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS should show the Post Office serial number of the parcel and should, as far as possible, be prepared in French as well as in English and in accordance with the classification of the French Customs tariff. Weights and measures should be shown in the metric system.

DELIVERY charges are collected except at La Pointe des Galets, Saint Denis

and Saint Pierre.

PROHIBITIONS: letters; bees; Christmas crackers; meat, poultry and game in parcels over 11 lb. in weight; playing cards addressed to San Marino; potatoes; saccharine and its products, unless addressed to authorised chemists; weights and measures not conforming to the Italian system, unless addressed to scientific institutes.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of arms and parts of arms; cigarette papers; foodstuffs in preserved or extract form; mechanical lighters; patent medicines; plants and parts of plants and seeds; tobacco and its products, including nicotine and preparations thereof; wireless apparatus. CERTIFICATE A certificate of origin should accompany each commercial parcel. INVOICE parcels containing merchandise should be accompanied by a copy of

the invoice dated and signed by the sender.

SEALING parcels should be sealed with a distinctive device.
