PROHIBITIONS: letters; arms and parts thereof; cigars, cigarettes and tobacco. RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of patent medicines; plants, parts of

plants, bulbs, seeds, and so on; saccharine.

INVOICE: an invoice certified by a Peruvian consul and sent to the addressee separately by letter post is required for every parcel or consignment of parcels posted at the same time to one addressee. A consular invoice may, however, be dispensed with where the contents do not exceed 49 dollars or the equivalent thereof in value, or where the parcels are sent from locality in which a Peruvian consular officer is not resident; but a commer- cial invoice must then be forwarded with the parcel or parcels, and the relative charges will be levied on delivery.

PROHIBITIONS; letters; firearms and parts thereof, except for the Government;

gaming apparatus; intoxicating liquors.

COMPENSATION is not payable.

INVOICE: an invoice or statement giving the value of the contents for Customs purposes should be enclosed in every packet containing merchandise. If the value of the goods contained in a packet or in several packets sent at the same time by one sender to the saine addressee exceeds 100 dollars an invoice certified by a United States consul should be furnished.
