PROHIBITIONS: letters; firearms and parts thereof, except under permit;

gooseberry bushes and parts thereof; grapes. RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of meat; potatoes; serums

and vaccines. The importation of many articles is also subject to the produc- tion of a permit which must be obtained by the addressee in advance. DESPATCH PAPERS: separate set for each parcel. Customs declarations should as a rule show the cost of packing, postage, and so on, and if the value of the contents is shown in British currency only the rate of exchange on the Amsterdam Bourse on the date of the sale of the goods should be stated. If detailed particulars of the contents are not shown on the Customs declaration an invoice (or copy), should be attached to it. CHARGES: a special charge of 4 cents per parcel is levied in Holland.

INVOICE: a commercial invoice in respect of each parcel showing clearly the nature and actual value of the contents should be sent separately by letter post, addressed to EL JEFE DE LA OFICINA DE PAQUETES POSTALES at the place of destination.

DELIVERY: every parcel addressed to a bank or other agent of the person for whom it is intended should bear, in addition to the agent's name and address, the name and address of the ultimate consignee. Delivery charges are collected from the addressees.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of: medicines; potatoes; saccharine; tobacco, tobacco products and machines for their manufacture; wireless apparatus. The importation of many other articles is subject to a permit from the Ministry of Commerce of Hungary.

INVOICE: a detailed invoice should be enclosed in each parcel. DESPATCH PAPERS: if an import licence is sent with a consignment of parcels it should be enclosed in one of them; and all the parcels and relative despatch notes and Customs declarations should be marked with the Post Office serial number of the parcel containing the licence.
