Limitations of service and special conditions

PROHIBITIONS: letters.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of arms, except sporting weapons;

pharmaceutical products; saccharine.

CERTIFICATE: a certificate of origin must accompany every commercial parcel or consignment of parcels posted at the same time by one sender to the same addressee. Authentication of the certificate by a Chilean consul is not

necessary.

PACKING should be very strong, tin boxes being used for preference. Parcels

packed in paper only are not accepted.

PROHIBITIONS: letters; military equipment; tobacco or hand-made cigarettes

and articles for their manufacture.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of arms; copper and copper coin;

substances for the manufacture of explosives; wireless apparatus. INVOICE: a copy of the relative invoice with a detailed description of the

contents should be enclosed in each commercial parcel.

DELIVERY: additional charges for inland conveyance are collected from the

addressees of parcels addressed to certain smaller offices. SEALING: parcels for all destinations must be sealed.

INSURANCE :

(Service 1). Insurance to the more important places only; but parcels for all other places can be accepted for insurance as far as the service permits.

PACKING: parcels for Yunnan should be packed in stout cloth or strong

wooden boxes and must be sealed.
