SEALING parcels should be sealed with a distinctive device.
CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS should show the Post Office serial number of the parcel and should, as far as possible, be prepared in French as well as in English and in accordance with the classification of the French Customs Tariff. Weights and measures should be shown in the metric system. DELIVERY charges are collected from the addressees.
ADDRESS: parcels for the Republic of Andorra must be addressed GARE L'HOSPITALET-PRES-L'ANDORRE, ARIEGE, FRANCE where the addressee must collect them.
PROHIBITIONS: letters; tobacco in packets.
RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of: arms; plants and parts of plants,
including seeds,
INVOICE: consular invoices are required for all parcels containing merchandise
over 100 gold pesos in value.
PACKING: insured parcels should be packed in outer covers of canvas or similar material. Each article of celluloid or roll of film must be packed separately see also page 97.
CHARGES: a fiscal charge of $3 (Argentine money) is levied, in addition to
Customs or other charges, on
on each parcel or consignment of parcels covered by one set of despatch papers.
