PROHIBITIONS. Gold, jewellery, platinum, precious stones, silver,

except in insured boxes; tobacco.

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of medicines. CUSTOMS DUTY. Bound or sewn books are liable to Customs

duty.

PROHIBITIONS. Gold, jewellery, platinum, precious stones, silver, except in insured boxes; bank-notes and currency notes exceeding 100 dollars (Straits Settlements), face value, except in insured letters. Packets, other than insured letters and boxes, marked on the outside with any declaration as to the value of the contents except such declaration as is required for Customs purposes. Packets of pictorial postcards by printed papers post (except into Johore, Kedah, Kelantan and Trengganu).

RESTRICTIONS apply to the importation of plants, seeds, and (Federated Malay States, Johore and Kelantan only) tobacco.
