60.-The postage on Sample Packets, which must be fully prepaid, is 2 cents per 2 ozs. with a minimum charge of 4 cents.

61.-Packets of samples, when they do not accord with the regulations, are returned to the senders when possible.

62.-Printed papers,

papers, commercial

commercial papers and samples of merchandise may

be enclosed in the same packet provided that :-

(a) Each articles taken separately shall not exceed the limits of weight

and size applicable to it.

(b) The total weight shall not exceed 5 lbs. if intended for any place in the British Empire or a Non-Union country and 4 lbs. 6 ozs. for foreign countries in the Postal Union.

(c) The minimum rate of postage for each packet shall be 10 cents if it contains commercial papers and 4 cents if it consists of printed papers and samples.

Dutiable Articles by Letter Post.

63.-Articles liable to Customs duty may be sent in packets prepaid at the letter rate of postage to the countries and places mentioned below. A green label giving precise particulars of the nature, weight and value of the contents must be affixed to each packet. The labels may be obtained at any Post Office. Any letters sent in contravention of the regulations may be returned, subjected to fines, or confiscated, according to the laws of the country of destination.
