All parcels for Turkey must be sealed. Parcels packed in cardboard or paper only, ex- cept linen-faced paper, will not be accepted for transmission. Senders are advised to sew all

cover of strong linen or similar mate- rial.

A certificate of origin in prescribed form authenticated by a Turkish Consul or British Chambers of Commerce is re- quired for all parcels, contain- ing goods or Merchandise on which the Turkish Customs charges exceed 25 Turkish pounds (paper). A certificate of origin is not required for par- cels containing articles of per- sonal use, but the addressee will be responsible for produc- ing a certificate of origin or other such evidence ધ્રુમ the Turkish Customs may require.

Letters; tobacco, by the Con- stantza route in any form; by other routes except cigars, chewing tobacco, and snuff; articles of celluloid except in zinc

boxes; foreign silver coin; rifles and rifle ammuni- tion of army pattern; empty cartridges except for sporting rifles; revolvers, of which the barrels exceed 15 centimetres. (nearly 6 inches) in length; patent medicines; hashish; postcards of private manufac ture, bearing the heading "Poste imperiales Ottomanes"; skins unless accompanied by a sauitary certificate); raw cat- ton in any form or cotton cake- originating in the United States of America, and the packing materials, etc., with which it has been in contact, plants, parts of plants and flowers are subject to special restrictions and can be sent by parcel post only at the sender's risk. Explosives, inflammable or dangerous articles, paper money, bonds, shares, etc. Printed matter of indecent na- ture or pertaining to lotteries.
