STAFF WELFARE

92. The Post Office Recreation Club continued as the venue for promoting welfare, sporting and social activities of its members during the year.

93. Regular X-Ray examinations, inoculations etc. of the staff were carried out during the year by the Medical and Health Department.

Bathing Pavilion

94. The Club's bathing pavilions at Stanley and Ting Kau were made full use of by members throughout the swimming season.

Social Activities

95. The Annual Children's Party, a regular feature of the depart- ment's social activities, was held on 12th January, 1969. With the invitation of children of members of the uniformed grades (Postmen, Assistant Postmen etc.) the number attending rose to nearly 900. The children were entertained to games and side-shows by guest artists and presented with gifts. Some film personalities also attended and took part in amusing the children.
