24th September, 1965. The Kowloon Postmen team defended its title vigorously by retaining the Championship and the H.K. Postmen team was again runners-up.
Table Tennis--Saville Cup
104. Competition for the Saville Cup was concluded on 9.12.65. The Hong Kong Sorting Office 'A' team captured the championship and the Associated Members team was runners-up. Exhibition games were given by the Colony's leading players prior to the presentation of prizes by Mrs. CROOK.
Tennis League
105. Only one team entered the 'C' Division of the League in 1965 finishing in a 5th place.
Soccer League
106. The Post Office Recreation Club team finished 6th in the League. However the team finished second in the Golden Jubilee Cup Competition.
Hogarth Shield
107. Eleven inter-departmental teams were competing for the 'Hogarth Shield'.
CONCLUSION
108. No record of this further year of steady development and continuing expansion would be complete without my paying a tribute to the constant loyalty and unflagging energy shown by staff at all levels, often in very exacting circumstances.
