FINANCE
26. The total Revenue collections of the Department reached an unprecedented total of $66,053,666.80 a record increase of $19,629,928.85 over the previous year and an excess of $39,513,164.35 over total expenditure. The major portion of the additional revenue was derived from the postings of small packets to China although the general growth of normal traffic was also responsible to some degree. These figures cannot, however, be regarded as normal and a decrease in revenue is to be expected in line with any marked decrease in the posting of small packets.
27. The Wireless Licence Section revenue for the year was $2,726,618.00 which exceeded the estimate by $486,618.
